One, Two and Many

Arabic gives the dual its own clear form. Compare كِتَابٌ (one book), كِتَابَانِ (two books) and كُتُبٌ (books). The endings change with the role: ـانِ / ـيْنِ, ـونَ / ـينَ, and the feminine plural ـات.
